What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are made with hyaluronic acid, a molecule that is naturally occurring in our bodies. Hyaluronic acid gives our skin its suppleness and natural glow. As we age, we lose some of our hyaluronic acid in the skin which results in volume loss. All dermal fillers used are Health Canada approved.
How does filler work?
Hyaluronic acid attracts and retains water many times over its weight. When injected under skin, it can smooth lines and wrinkles, minimize shadows, and restore volume. Newer fillers can also be used deeper to mimic bone to enhance patient's appearance.
