What is Microneedling?

The SkinPen is used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to stimulate collagen and elastin production. The micro-channels created also allow an add on brightening serum or PRP to be absorbed more effectively. 

What is it used for?

Microneedling results in a reduction in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, improved skin tone & texture, as well as softer, younger appearing skin. It can also improve the appearance of uneven skin tone, melasma, acne scars, traumatic scars, and stretch marks.

What to expect during the procedure?

The skin is cleansed and a numbing agent is applied prior to starting. A sterile saline glide is then applied and the pen is gently pressed against the skin while gliding. Generally, discomfort is minimal and you will feel pressure and vibration. The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes, after one hour of numbing.

After completion, you will notice a redness to your skin lasting 1-3 days. Utilizing appropriate post-treatment products can aid the healing process. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several weeks and can continue for up to 6 months after the last treatment.
